Kenneth Lochhead's historical works on canvas vary in presentation and finish. Early, abstract works on canvas and paper are composed of matte, saturated swathes of bright, high-contrasting colour, sometimes painted directly onto raw canvas. Figurative works are defined by the artist's signature, feathery brushstrokes that subtly mix unconventional, pastel palette.
